SHIELDS – SCORING OUTLINE

The following document is an unofficial outline as to the scoring procedures and does not represent or amend the official Notice of Race or Sailing Instructions for Fleet 9.

Scoring shall be as set forth in the 2008 Shields Class Sailing Instructions and 2008 Aloha Series Notice of Race.

WEEKEND SERIES
Sean Cassedy Memorial – Spring Series
Toland Cup – Summer Series
Kendall Memorial – Fall Series
In order to qualify for a standing in each Weekend Series, a boat shall start in at least two-thirds (rounded to the nearest whole number) of the completed races. Additional races may be used as throwouts. If six races or less are sailed, there will be no throw-outs

WEDNESDAY NIGHT SERIES
Spring – 7 races scheduled
Summer – 7 races scheduled
Fall – 7 races scheduled

ALOHA CUP
Races scheduled over four days
